Leading on campaign planning from brainstorming sessions with the wider team, presenting proposals to key stakeholders and developing guidelines for the chosen theme. I also single-handedly produce all animated and video assets for use on paid and organic social media to complement and enhance campaign themes.
The Project
Concept creative for Feelunique’s 2019 Black Friday campaign and production of all animated assets.
The resulting concept “Break the Internet” had strong roots in the on-trend 90’s analog aesthetic and incorporated elements of obsolete / dysfunctional technology utilising desaturated, glitchy imagery and anaglyphic text.
To support the campaign, I requested conveyor belt footage recorded at our UK warehouse inspired by the popularity of hidden camera fail videos. These videos were then interspersed with shots of hands holding multiple products (to communicate excess / overloading) in a heavily distorted style. The footage was then set to a punchy, building music track and overlayed with impactful typography outlining key offers, with the final effect being of gathering speed and urgency.

Prospecting social ad, one of approximately 30 videos rolled out across paid and organic social media.
Unused concept: discount codes in “magic eye” style panels on site and social pages. These would require red polarised lenses to find, sent as part of direct mailers via a teaser PR campaign in the run up to Black Friday.
